Established in 1999 by serial restaurateurs Derek and Edwina Lilley, Fourth solutions were conceived by hospitality professionals for hospitality professionals.

By enabling clients to optimise profitability and process in the cloud by controlling every penny spent on labour, stock, purchasing and payroll processing, Fourth has grown to become one of the UK's fastest growing private equity backed technology companies, earning a place in the top 50 Sunday Times Tech Track rankings for three years in a row.

The Fourth system

The Fourth system is client-built, developed in conjunction with customers' operations, HR and finance teams to ensure that the systems address all the core issues and key demands that the hospitality sector faces. The result is a definitive end-to-end system that enables best practice while ensuring the most current and relevant functionality at all times.

Fourth people

The Fourth team is an extension of our customers' available resource. We don't just recruit with our requirements in mind but with customers' requirements too and we only recruit the very best. Fourth people are the most experienced, dedicated 'can-do' workers in hospitality and their consistency and continuity is a key element of the success of our customers.

The Fourth service

Every Fourth customer has a dedicated Relationship Manager. The Relationship Manager takes the time to genuinely understand his or her customer needs, and ensures they get the service they need, when they need it. They are there to advise on best practice and ensure that their customers consistently get the most from the system.

* Cloud-based applications (also known as SaaS) run in shared data centres and are quick to implement and cost less as they remove the need to pay for all the people, products, and facilities to run them. They are also more scalable, more secure and more reliable than most apps and new features, security and performance enhancements are automatically taken care of.
